HeartMind International's Mission
The focus of the Foundation’s charitable and educational activities will be to provide culturally-appropriate and sustainable mental health care to the most vulnerable populations around the world, especially those individuals living in rural areas in Nepal, other regions of South Asia, and the South Asian diaspora. Vulnerable populations include those persons and communities who have experienced, or are at risk of experiencing, natural and man-made disasters, forced migration, chronic poverty, and other forms of trauma at the individual and community level.
HeartMind International is focused on government adaptation of services. Our approach is to be the leading edge in mental health services in Jumla by demonstrating proof of concept and cost effectiveness for mental health interventions, then having these processes be incorporated by government affiliated partners.
